It was great event albeit a very busy one. The worst part is, after returning from Paris, you finally realize the amount of work that has been backlog since you were gone.
Oh boy.
Back on to ICANN Paris,
Correct me if i’m wrong but ICANN Paris had the most registered attendees totaling up to 1500+- and the number of booths was substantial.
And we were proud to the one of the two Asian’s booth to be there (The other one was CNNIC).
We managed to prep our booth on early Sunday morning. Most of the booth weren’t setup yet but towards at the end of day most of them have already setup their booth except for LogicBox (hmm..)
It’s nice finally to meet individuals such as Diane Schroeder who managed the event quite well i say, the snacks and coffee table were strategically located just in front of our booth.
Prefect.
(Although we preferred the initial setup where there was only one area you can get coffee and snacks, which is at the end of the hall , but i’m not complaining
)
It’s a little disappointing that i wasn’t able to attend any of the meeting which i was very interested in but oh well maybe next time.
The next ICANN meeting will be in Cairo and it looks like we’re gonna be very busy
I won’t say much about what’s new after ICANN Paris because there are some pretty good write up about it already. You can read it here and here.
Do share with if you’ve found a great write up.
We’re beginning to see a new wave of community TLD’s , city TLD’s and also vanity TLD’s which is good for us registry providers but will it work?
Well that’s for another post all together.
By the way, i managed to pop by ICANNWiki’s booth and get my caricature but have yet to see it uploaded yet on my profile
I’m wondering any off you had the same problem?
